According to the State Bank of Pakistan, remittances recorded a 27 percent increase on a monthly basis in March, with overseas Pakistanis sending home two and a half billion dollars this month.
According to the Central Bank, remittances recorded a 10% decrease on annual basis, remittances of 20.5 billion dollars were received in the first 9 months of this financial year.
During the last financial year, Pakistanis living abroad sent an average of two and a half billion dollars home.
