5 soldiers were killed in the fresh clash between the two neighboring countries of Central Asia, Armenia and Adar Baijan.
According to the world media, on Sunday, differences over the Lachen Corridor in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh turned deadly and the parties from both sides of the border fired at each other.
Officials from both Armenia and Azerbaijan have blamed each other for the shooting.
Armenia says at least three policemen were killed in the border dispute, while Azerbaijan says two of its soldiers were killed.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said the shooting occurred when troops began checking suspected vehicles allegedly carrying weapons.
Recall that the agreement to end the war in 2020 agreed to widen a road, known as the Lachen Corridor. It is the only legal corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia.
It should be noted that both the countries have fought two wars in the last three decades and there are frequent skirmishes between their soldiers.
Russia claims it brokered a deal to end the last war between the belligerents, but Armenia says it only resulted in a reduction in hostilities, not a complete end to the war.
