Thus, 5G has not been introduced in many countries of the world, including Pakistan, but work on 6G network has been started in South Korea.
South Korea’s Ministry of Science and Information Technology has announced that they are preparing to bring 6G networks to the country by optimizing the existing software-based mobile networks.
The South Korean government will encourage local companies to produce materials, components and equipment for the 6G network. Apart from this, a plan is also being made to keep the supply of materials and parts coordinated in every way to support the network.
A feasibility report for research on basic 6G networking has already been released.
According to South Korean officials, the 6G project is estimated to cost the equivalent of 482.1 million US dollars. Which is more than 40 billion rupees according to Pakistani currency.
The project aims to make South Korea a world leader in Internet networking. The project will become a reality between 2026 and 2028. Thus, South Korea can become the first country to launch a 6G network.
In this regard, Zhang Yongtao, Deputy General Manager of Ericsson China Technology Department, says that 6G will unite the virtual and real worlds. 6G will bring holographic communication closer to reality than science fiction.
