Warsaw: A Polish company has created a strange object that we can describe as a combination of science and nature. It is a real rock that spins like a superconductor while at a distance from a larger rock. It can also be seen on fire.
It has been named the ‘Mykonos Levitating Firestone’. It is a small volcano created by the combination of nature and physics. Its creator has considered elements like stone, fire, and wind. However, its outer shell is completely rocky while the interior is filled with electrical circuits and fuel that ignites the rock with a blue flame.
There is a magnetic force between the two stones which keeps the smaller stone hanging on the larger stone and rotating. It is specially designed to create a peaceful environment for yoga practice and meditation. Its makers insist that holding it for just 15 minutes has a positive effect on mood, and can help relieve fatigue throughout the day. Otherwise it’s a showpiece in place.
Mykonos can be used in two ways: First, it spins like a superconducting toy even without fire, while in fire mode, fuel spray reaches it from below and ignites with a bluish-green flame.
However, it is made completely safe because despite a million efforts, its flame does not fall down and is confined only to the rotating suspended stone.
It is currently being funded on a crowdfunding website and is priced at 179 to 184 euros.
