As Amazon’s Alexa turns 5 in India, the website has also introduced a male version of Alexa.
Describing this milestone as important, Amazon has said in a statement that millions of customers across India have purchased Echo devices.
With this feature, Indian users will, for the first time, be able to switch between Alexa’s original voice and a new male voice. In a statement issued by Amazon on Thursday, February 23, it was stated that their virtual assistant has completed five years in India.
“For the first time, Indian users will be able to switch between Alexa’s original voice and a new male voice,” the statement said. The new voice can answer in both English and Hindi.”
Amazon users can change Alexa’s voice by saying “Alexa, change your voice” on an Echo device or from the Alexa app by going to individual device settings and selecting Alexa’s voice.
It is also worth mentioning here that in the year 2022, Alexa requests on Echo smart speakers, Amazon shopping app, Fire TV and many other brands of Alexa-enabled devices have seen a 37% increase compared to 2021. –
Amazon’s popularity in India can be gauged from the fact that it has become a household name across India. Due to the presence of numerous facilities, more and more new users in India have started their Alexa program.
