Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will hold a meeting with IMF Deputy MD Antoinette Syah. Other members of Pakistan’s economic team will also participate in the virtual meeting.

Discussions will be held on the restoration of the loan program between Pakistan and the IMF. Progress on the staff level agreement between the parties is expected. The finance minister will give a briefing on the country’s economic situation and reforms.

IMF has predicted more inflation in Pakistan

Pakistan will be briefed on the implementation of the pre-conditions of the Staff Level Agreement. The Ministry of Finance, the Secretaries of Economic Affairs and the Governor of the State Bank will participate in the meeting from Washington.
