Former US special representative Zalmay Khalilzad has made two suggestions for solving the political crisis in Pakistan.
The former US special representative said in a statement on the social media website that Pakistan is facing a political, economic and security crisis, despite its great potential, it is underperforming and far behind its rival India. This is a time for seriousness, bold thinking, and strategy.
Zalmay Khalilzad said that major political parties should identify the problems before the election and decide on a common plan of action and announce the election in June to avoid disaster.
On the arrest of Imran Khan, Zalmay Khalilzad said that arresting Imran will make the political crisis more serious, arresting, hanging or killing any leaders is the wrong way.
He said that Pakistan is facing political, economic and security crises at the same time, the time has come for Pakistan to make its own decisions, think carefully and take bold decisions.
