An Australian citizen has broken the world record for the longest surfing session
Surfed for 30 hours and 11 minutes in the water at Cronulla Beach south of Sydney.
“I thought I could do it,” Johnston said. I can run for 40 hours.
The 40-year-old former pro surfer faced ear infections and dehydration while surfing, as well as sleep deprivation, hypothermia, shark attacks and jellyfish stings.
Johnston continued to make waves Friday evening.
