Two powerful westerly wind systems are likely to enter the country including Karachi this month.

According to weather analyst Jawad Memon, a western wind system will enter the country from the night of March 12, under which there are chances of rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Under the influence of this system, the temperature is likely to rise in Sindh from March 12 to 17, two more western systems will enter the country in the early days of April.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather is likely to remain dry in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the forecast is likely to remain partly cloudy in the upper districts.

In the hilly areas of the province Chitral, Swat, Buner, Kohistan and Torghar there may be thundershowers at some places.

Yesterday, 8 mm of rain was recorded in Takht Bai, 4 mm in Para Chinar, 3 mm in Peshawar and Malam Jabba.

According to the Meteorological Department, yesterday the lowest temperature was recorded in Kalam at zero degree.
