Beijing: A man has been sentenced to six months in prison after scaring more than 1,100 chickens to death during a neighbor dispute in China.
The man, named only as ‘Giv’, has been found guilty of scaring and killing his neighbour’s chickens and will spend six months behind bars, the court has said. The incident took place in a rural area of Hengyang County in Henan Province.
According to Guo, his neighbor Zong cut down a tree in his house in April 2022 for no reason, after which a fight broke out between the two neighbours. But Gio has committed a great crime by his actions. Thus, after killing 1100 chickens, he has caused a loss of USD 2000.
Guo entered his neighbor’s poultry farm at night and cornered them with a flashlight. In the process, chickens were crushed and 500 died. But Gavina stopped and did it again the next day, breaking into the neighbor’s house and this time killing 640 chickens.
Following this action, Zong prosecuted Guo, who was ordered to pay restitution to Zong for killing 1,100 chickens and sentenced to a total of 6 months in prison.
