Today, taking notice of Jamaat-e-Islami's complaints, the Election Commission has decided to hold a hearing on January 23 regarding the irregularities in 6 UCs of Karachi. .
Among these 6 UCs, there are 3 UCs of West Orangi Taungi District, 7 UCs of West Orangi District, 8 UCs of West Orangi District, UCs of West Mominabad District. 3, includes UC 12 of District West Manghopir and UC 1 of District East Gulshan.
The Election Commission has Notices have been issued to Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, concerned District Returning Officers, ROs, winners and runners-up candidates.
Earlier today from the press conference. While addressing, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haque said that doubts are being raised due to the late arrival of the results of the local body elections in Karachi and if the mandate is not given, all options are available.
While holding a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the government itself says that the voting turnout during the local elections was low, then the results should have been released early, but on the contrary, it is unusual to release the results.
He said that earlier when the Election Commission gave us the results through Form-11, it included our union councils. The number was 94 and in the results that were given after that, our number is 86 while the leading position was given to the People's Party although they do not have the leading position.

Remember that according to the results announced by the 235 union councils of Karachi on January 16, Jamaat-e-Islami won 86 seats, but a day later they won more. It was claimed to be successful in 3 seats.
Similarly, PPP also claimed that the candidate of PPP has been successful after the recount in Chanisar Goth Union Council No. 6. Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami was successful from this Union Council.
The spokesman of the Provincial Election Commission, while avoiding confirming or denying these claims, said that the results of the election are yet to come, the party position may change in the results coming on January 16.
