Banks have recorded an increase of 35% on annual basis during the month of February in the issuance of loans for the purchase and construction of houses.
According to the data released by the State Bank, the volume of loans provided by banks to consumers for the purchase and construction of houses in February was recorded at 215 billion rupees, which is 35% more than the same period of the previous financial year.
In the same period of the last financial year, the volume of loans provided by banks to consumers for the purchase and construction of houses was recorded at 159 billion rupees.
In comparison to January, in February, a decrease of 0.1 percent has been recorded in the provision of loans to customers for the purchase and construction of houses by the banks on a monthly basis.
