Manhattan: On the one hand, where mobile phone snatching is common in Karachi, now in New York, an organized group of thieves is working, who snatch valuable Apple headphones from the heads of people sitting in parks or restaurants and escape.
The series started on January 28 and so far 21 people have lost their precious Apple headphones. At least four people are involved in the headphone robberies. Two of them go after the person wearing the earbuds, grab the headphones and immediately run away.
However, crafty thieves recognize each model and, in particular, make off with Apple Max headphones that cost up to $549. It is worth Rs 140000 in Pakistani rupees as it reduces noise and also has noise canceling properties. In this way, by wearing headphones, you can be protected from hearing the surrounding noise.
According to the police, although these incidents have happened everywhere, but most of the incidents have happened in the famous Central Park of New York and people between 18 and 41 years have been the victims. Usually these robberies take place in the afternoon.
According to the records, 5 headphones were stolen on February 8 and 8 on February 18. Interestingly, all the thieves are still free from the police.
It should be noted that Apple headphones are similar to traditional headphones that are easily visible from the outside.
