LAHORE: Former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi demanded the judiciary to take notice of Maryam Nawaz’s attacks on the court.
Parvaiz Elahi reached Zaman Park and met Imran Khan to consult on the future political strategy after the Supreme Court’s decision, in which both leaders agreed to speed up election activities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting, Imran Khan said that the Supreme Court maintained the supremacy of the Constitution, now the party leaders and workers should start the election campaign in full force.
On this occasion, Pervez Elahi demanded measures from the relevant institutions to implement the decision of the Supreme Court without delay and said that the Constitution is supreme, PDM should also know this.
He said that the honorable judiciary should also take notice of Maryam Nawaz’s attacks on the court while action should be taken on the letter of former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan to the Chief Justice.
Pervez Elahi said that Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and company tried hard to run away from the election, but the decision made it clear that the election in 90 days is the purpose of the constitution.
