Chairman PTI Imran Khan, who reached the judicial complex of Islamabad to appear in the Tosha Khana case, filed an application in the Islamabad High Court in view of the fear of arrest.
Imran Khan requested hearing on the petition today and said that any institution including NAB should be stopped from arresting him.
According to the text of the petition, the court stopped the arrest of Imran Khan and asked him to appear in the trial court.
The petition further states that the police have blocked the roads leading to the judicial complex. She wants to be arrested in cases that Imran Khan is not aware of. The arrest of Imran Khan in any case should be subject to judicial permission.
In the Tosha Khana criminal case, the hearing related to the indictment of former Prime Minister Imran Khan is being held in the Anti-Terrorism Court No. 1 of the Judicial Complex. PTI Chairman has reached Islamabad from his residence Zaman Park in Lahore to appear in court.
Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal has summoned Chairman PTI to the court to charge him. A non-bailable arrest warrant was issued for Imran Khan, but the Islamabad High Court suspended the warrant and ordered him to appear in court.
It should be noted that earlier, January 31 was fixed for the indictment of Imran Khan, but due to his continued absence, the Persuasion Court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant on February 28 and ordered it to be presented on March 7. After that, the Islamabad High Court suspended the arrest warrant on March 7 and ordered Imran Khan to appear on March 13.
Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant was reinstated when he did not appear on March 13 and the Sessions Court ordered him to appear on March 18 by issuing an arrest warrant.
