Indian-born Neil Mohan has become the video platform’s chief executive after Susan Wojcicki, who served as YouTube’s chief executive officer for nine years, stepped down from her position.
The resigned Suzanne, 54, says that she wants to focus on her family, health and personal life and that is why she is resigning from her post.
Suzanne said that when she started working at YouTube nine years ago, she built a great leadership team, and Neil Mohan was part of that team.
Neil Mohan studied electrical engineering at Stanford and previously served as Chief Product Officer at Google.
He previously worked at Microsoft and was on the board of 23&Me, a biotechnology company.
