Wahab Riaz, the fast bowler of the Pakistani cricket team and the provincial sports minister, has said that there is a need to work on infrastructure and grassroots in the province.
Wahab Riaz assumed the charge of Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs at the National Hockey Stadium. Secretary Sports Punjab Shahid Zaman and DG Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi met Zohab Riaz, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umeer Hassan and Assistant Director Zahoor Ahmed were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, Shahid Zaman and Tariq Qureshi briefed Wahab Riaz about sports matters.
Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs said that all possible measures will be taken for the development of sports. Sports brings discipline in life, we will take everyone together for the promotion of sports.
On this occasion, Provincial Sports Minister Wahab Riaz said that the youth should participate in more sports activities. All resources will be utilized for the development of sports.
Talking to the media later, he said that I want to thank God for the position I got, and try to support the players. I am a player myself, I am well aware of the problems of players. Met Arshad Nadeem today, inquired about the problems. I will solve the problems of all players including Arshad Nadeem. Need to work on infrastructure and grassroots.
