After the order of Sindh Chief Minister, the rate of transferring vehicles on open letters increased by 500%.
After the problems in the investigation due to the ownership rights of the vehicle used in the Karachi police attack not being changed, the Chief Minister of Sindh had ordered a crackdown against vehicles running on open letters.
According to the report, after getting a week’s respite, the rush increased in the Excise office located in Karachi Civic Center. During one week, 9 thousand 438 vehicles were registered and transferred.
According to the officials, the citizens coming to register the vehicles running on open letters understand its sensitivity which is welcome.
It should be noted that the DIG Traffic has also requested the Excise Department for joint checking from February 28. Excise department will crackdown with traffic police in different areas of the city.
