Police has announced the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Karachi General Secretary and Sindh Assembly member Arslan Taj.

According to police sources, the office of DC Kemari was attacked some time ago, the incident was registered under provisions of rioting and terrorism. Arsalan Taj has been arrested in the same case.

Before the arrest by the police, MPA Arslan Taj’s wife had said in a video statement that the police raided the house at 5:30 am to arrest her husband, there were no ladies constables with the police.

He said that the police ransacked the house, my husband was abused while the children and I were harassed, the police did not even have a search warrant. The policemen took Arslan away in a car without a number plate.

Arsalan Taj’s wife said that the husband’s fault is to support the truth, Arsalan did not extort or kill, what is his fault.

He said that Arsalan’s 6-year-old daughter repeatedly asks where is father, she does not understand how to answer the little daughter, the mother is sick and is overwhelmed by the grief of her son, take care of a mother.

Before announcing the arrest of Arsalan Taj, PTI leader Khurram Sherzaman criticized Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and said that the Sindh Chief Minister is incompetent, he should be ashamed, Arsalan Taj was picked up from home for highlighting the problems of the province. Murad Ali Shah should resign on the matter.

Khurram Sherzaman said that Arsalan will go to the court and get justice on the matter of Taj, do as much injustice as you can bear. He also appealed to the Chief Justice to take notice.
