Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party and Senator Raza Rabbani has expressed concerns over important national and strategic issues and demanded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to take the House into confidence on these matters.
Former Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani has said in a statement that the issue of delay in agreement by IMF and reluctance of friendly countries except China should be taken into confidence.
He said that it seems that Pakistan is being softened to play a role that is against its national and strategic interest.
Raza Rabbani said that people have the right to be told whether our nuclear assets are under any pressure and whether our strategic relations with China are at risk.
The PPP leader further said that if we are being asked to play such a role in the region as a facilitator in the military presence of the imperialist powers, then Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif should give a statement in the House on all matters.
Senator Raza Rabbani said that no briefing was given on the banned TTP and the growing incidents of terrorism, it seems that PTI or the current government wants independence from Parliament.
