A local court in Islamabad has ordered the immediate release of defense analyst Lt. Gen. (retd) Amjad Shoaib in a case of incitement to rebellion.
District and Sessions Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra heard the Amjad Shoaib case.
Amjad Shoaib’s lawyer called the case as bogus and pleaded for discharge and took the stand that this case is not valid in the eyes of law, it cannot be a case under Section 505.

Opposing the discharge, the prosecutor pleaded for further investigation and photogrammatic test, on which the judge remarked that why don’t you take Nadra whether it is Amjad Shoaib or not.
After the arguments of the parties were completed, the court reserved the decision. After some time, while pronouncing the reserved decision, the court discharged Amjad Shoaib and ordered his immediate release.
Justice Tahir Abbas Supra remarked that it is the smallest court but in some cases the powers of the Judicial Magistrate are greater.
Earlier, the District and Sessions Court had reserved its decision on the bail of defense analyst Lt. Gen. (retd) Amjad Shoaib in the case of incitement of public against institutions after completion of the arguments of the parties.
Amjad Shoaib’s lawyer had said in his arguments that this case does not arise under Section 505, the Supreme Court decided to hold an election, if the decision had been made earlier, such a program would not have happened.

(Rtd) Amjad Shoaib was arrested from his residence by Ramna Police Station and Lohi Bhir Police Station in a joint operation, he was first transferred to Ramna Police Station and then transferred from Ramna Police Station to an unknown location. went.
Case filed against Amjad Shoaib
According to Islamabad Police, a case against Amjad Shoaib for inciting the public against institutions has been registered in Ramna police station under the charge of Magistrate Islamabad Owais Khan, and the provisions of 153A and 505 for inciting the public have been added to the case.
The text of the case states that in the TV program, Amjad Shoaib incited the people to revolt, the statement incited to prevent civil servants and the opposition from performing official legal duties.
According to the registered case, an attempt was made to create anxiety, insecurity and chaos in the country by his statement, and an attempt was made to spread enmity, incitement and hatred in the government and the opposition.
It has also been stated in the registered case that Amjad Shoaib has also conspired to weaken the country by creating hatred among the government, opposition and civil servants.
