The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and America celebrated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations last year. Against this backdrop, the signing of the Sustrastate Resolution between California and Punjab on January 9, 2023 is a welcome development.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab and California can work together in areas of mutual interest including trade, investment, agriculture, IT, education and cultural exchange.
The Prime Minister appreciated the positive role of Americans of Pakistani origin in strengthening people-to-people ties.
Chris Holden, who led the four-member delegation of the State Assembly of California, thanked the Prime Minister for the hospitality of the delegation and emphasized the need for further expansion of Pakistan-US relations.
