The national cricket team reached Dubai to play T20 series with Afghanistan.
Earlier, the national team left the National Cricket Academy by boarding a 4 pm flight. The three-match series between the two countries will be played in Sharjah on March 24, 26 and 27 respectively.
Muhammad Yusuf will not travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to personal reasons. In his absence, head coach Abdul Rehman will take over the additional duties of batting coach.
Later Muhammad Yusuf wrote on the social networking website Twitter that the reason for my not going to Afghanistan is because of my wife’s ill health, I request my deepest prayers.
On the other hand, Shadab Khan wrote on the social networking site Twitter that every Pakistani dreams of captaining the Pakistan team. I will try to play cricket, support young cricketers, they are our future.
The squad to Dubai consisted of 14 players and 9 members of support staff. Naseem Shah is already in Dubai and will join the team today at the team hotel.
On the other hand, Afghanistan cricket team’s sniper Rashid Khan will lead his team, the Afghan squad consists of 17 members.
