PEMRA imposes immediate ban on broadcasting content against judiciary - Pakistan

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed an immediate ban on broadcasting any content against the judiciary and judges.

According to the orders of PEMRA, the judicial decision regarding the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become a topic of discussion in the judiciary TV channels and political meetings.

The names of the judges have also been mentioned in the audios that have come out related to the case, while in an alleged audio leak, the name of the judge was used in the conversation between Pervez Elahi and his lawyer.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz, the chief organizer of Muslim League-N, also said about the judiciary in the meeting that some members of the judiciary are sympathetic to Imran Khan.
