In the petition, it has been argued that peaceful protest is the fundamental right of every citizen, illegal notification of Section 144 has been issued to prevent the election campaign, the court should annul the implementation of Section 144.
Talking informally to the media after filing the petition, PTI leader Hamad Azhar said that hundreds of our workers have been arrested, chemical water has been thrown on our workers due to which dozens of people have been injured and are being treated in hospitals. There are, cars of peaceful citizens have been vandalized, undemocratic work has been done in caretaker government.
Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s request against police action
Another petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against the police action to stop the PTI rally in Lahore.
The petition has been filed by PTI leader Imtiaz Mehmood through advocate Waqar Mushtaq, challenging the police’s move to block city roads and tear gas shelling.
In the application, the Punjab government, DC and CCPO Lahore have been made parties and it has been submitted that PTI took permission from the district administration for the election campaign, but the police blocked the roads before taking out the rally for the election campaign. Closed and took illegal action.
Taking a position in the petition, it is requested that the police tortured the political workers by using tear gas, peaceful protest is the fundamental right of every citizen, the action of blocking roads and shelling of tear gas by the court administration. Abolish it.
