Section 144 has been imposed in 3 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to possible protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Section 144 has been imposed in Malakand, Karak and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A ban has been imposed on the gathering of more than five people by sending letters to the police stations of the three districts.

It should be noted that the senior leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Fawad Chaudhry, had indicated to block the highways across the country and to block the connecting roads in protest, after which Section 144 was imposed in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Deputy Commissioners of the three districts have banned gatherings and processions in view of security concerns.
