Romania, one of Europe’s poorest countries, has become the first country in the world to appoint artificial technology as an advisor, where AI technology will act as an advisor.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, Prime Minister Nikolay Siev introduced his new honorary advisor named Ion equipped with AI technology, saying that Ion basically scans media networks to identify public plans, desires and needs in real time. It will be presented to the government.
The Prime Minister said that this mirror-like advisor is the first of its kind to use AI technology. We believe that it is our duty to use AI technology for better decisions.
On this occasion, the new government advisor Ion said, “You gave me the opportunity to represent you, I am grateful to you.”
According to Romanian government documents, Ion will use artificial technology to gather content on social media networks to gauge public opinion, while citizens will also be able to interact with Ion on a website.
