The Federal Ministry of Finance has issued an explanatory statement regarding the payment of salaries to government employees and pension to retired employees.
Rumors are doing the rounds that the government is withholding salaries of government employees and pensions of retired employees.
The Finance Ministry has strongly denied the rumors and said that the salaries of government employees will not be stopped nor will the pension of retired employees be stopped.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Finance, it has been said that the payment of salaries to government employees and pensions to retired employees will continue as usual.
The Ministry of Finance says that AGPR has completed the work regarding payment of salaries and pensions, other payments are also being processed as usual.
The Accountant General of Pakistan strongly rejected the directives to withhold February salaries, pensions and other payments of government employees.
Spokesperson Accountant General of Pakistan also clarified that no instructions have been given to stop the payment of salaries of government employees and pensions of retired employees.
The spokesman says that the process related to salaries, pensions and other payments for this month has been completed as usual.
