More than 100 leaders and activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) presented arrests in Sahiwal on the seventh day of Jail Bharu movement.
Arrests were made in Sahiwal on the seventh day of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Jail Bharu movement that started on February 22.
In Sahiwal, PTI workers took out a rally and protested by reaching DPO Office Chowk. The workers raised slogans in favor of Imran Khan and against the government.
During the movement, former MNAs Rai Murtaza Iqbal, Anwarul Haque Ramey, former MPA Ghulam Sarwar and other leaders and workers were arrested. Five prisoner vans of the Sahiwal police left for the jail with Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan also congratulated the workers of Sahiwal on social networking website Twitter.
Police had also ordered 10 vans of prisoners by making advance arrangements for Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Jail Bharu movement. DSP City said that they are ready to deal with any situation, no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands.
The sixth day of Jail Bharu movement
Captain’s players left their homes in large numbers in Sargodha for Jail Bharu movement. The workers raised slogans against the party leadership and the government. Activists climbed into the police van arriving for the arrest and more than 75 people submitted to the arrest.
Among those who were arrested were PP 76 candidate Mehr Mohsen Raza, along with Ansar Haral, Nazir Subhi, Zulfiqar Bajoh, Imdadullah, Ansar Majeed, Ali Asghar Lahri, Faisal Farooq Cheema, Farooq Bahawal Haq, Bushra Sikandarbhati.
Sargodha Police shifted the detained workers to Kothana satellite town.
The fifth day of Jail Bharu movement
On the fifth day of the movement, PTI workers made arrests in Gujranwala. A large number of captain’s players will take to the streets and board the prisoner vans parked in front of the jail. PTI workers also shouted slogans in favor of the party leadership and raised their hands and made a sign of victory.
Workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf arrested Reza indiscriminately. After which the prisoners took the van full of police workers and left.
Strict security arrangements have been made in Gujranwala regarding Jail Bharu movement.
Jail Bharu Movement in Gujranwala was led by PTI Provincial President Yasmin Rashid. After Yasmin Rashid left for Lahore, the workers dispersed peacefully.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf formally launched the Jail Bharu movement on February 22. Before Gujranullah, leaders and activists of the Jail Bharu movement have been gathering in Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Multan to make arrests.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Azam Swati, Murad Ras, Senator Waleed Iqbal, Umar Sarfraz Shima, Muhammad Madani and others have been arrested in the Jail Bharu movement so far.
