Pakistan’s exports have recorded a decrease of 9.21% compared to last year. The total volume was 7 billion 46 million dollars.
According to the report of the Statistics Institute, the exports of the most important textile sector for the economy fell by 11 percent. Textile exports from July to February were 11 billion 21 million dollars.
According to the report, the exports of other sectors have decreased by 6% while the export of leather products, rice, cement, cutlery, plastic materials also recorded a decrease.
Delay in agreement with IMF, possibility of further interest rate hikes
According to the report, the exports of sports goods including football increased by 18% in 10 months. Exports of fish, tobacco, meat, raw cotton and tents also increased.
According to the report of the Statistics Institute, the exports of ready-made garments, crude oil, coal, footwear increased from July to February. Exports of medicines, engineering goods, electrical machinery also increased.
According to the report, during July 2022 to February 2023, an increase in the export of precious stones, jewellery, furniture, handicrafts was recorded.
