Chuck E. Cheese’s employee using a floppy disk
Chuck-E-Cheese, a family-friendly and kid-friendly restaurant in America, has been using floppy disks ever since.
The restaurant uses floppy disks to drive its cartoon robots to entertain children. This came to light when a restaurant employee inserted a floppy disk into the computer server to set the robot’s routine and recorded the entire process on video and uploaded it online.
Chuck E. Cheese has about 50 branches around the world, and the cartoon robots used in each branch still rely on floppy disks to operate.
However, the use of floppy disk in today’s era is not unusual. The US has been using floppy disks for its nuclear weapons program until 2019. Similarly, the public transit system of the American state of San Francisco is still using floppy disks for its operations.
