Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while launching the first nationwide anti-polio campaign of this year, has expressed his determination that this epidemic will be completely controlled soon with joint efforts.

During this period, 20 cases of polio have been reported in Waziristan, but the epidemic has not spread and it has been limited there. The Prime Minister said that there was definitely a wave of concern in the whole of Pakistan when the polio cases came out again, the Bill Gates Foundation, an international organization, is with us in the anti-polio campaign. Health and other stakeholders are cooperating.
He said that 'I had a talk with Bill Gates a few days ago and he is determined to cooperate with Pakistan in the anti-polio campaign. Yes, I am grateful to our health works, including international organizations, who are fulfilling their duty with full diligence. May the polio epidemic leave this country forever and never dare to return.
