The Yemeni army announces the killing and wounding of 20 soldiers in 185 Houthi violations of the armistice within two days

The Yemeni army announced, on Monday, the killing of 5 of its soldiers and the wounding of others, as a result of the Houthi militia’s violation of the UN armistice during the past two days. Iran committed 185 violations of the UN armistice during Saturday and Sunday on the fronts of Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, Marib, Al-Jawf and Al-Dhalea. The fronts of Hajjah governorate, 27 violations in the Al-Barah axis, west of Taiz, 25 violations in the south, west and north of Ma'rib, 12 violations in the fronts in Al-Jawf governorate, and one violation in the Al-Dhale axis.

He added: “The violations varied between shooting at Army positions on all fronts with Katyusha rockets, artillery, various calibers, booby-trapped drones and snipers, which resulted in the killing of 5 members of the army and the injury of 15 others. West and northwest of Marib and east of Hazm al-Jawf, for the second day in a row, as well as the deployment of reconnaissance drones on various fronts. In early June, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced the extension of the humanitarian truce for an additional two months, after the expiration of a similar precedent that began on April 2.
