Police in the UAE have recently discovered new types of illegal drugs that can pose more serious threats to society – some of which can even cause death.

According to Khaleej Times, the UAE police authorities in the country have already seen and busted almost every type of drug trafficking method.

Authorities are capable of capturing smuggled drugs in all manner of ways, from hiding them inside the bodies of humans and animals to packaging them in a variety of shipments. However, traffickers are also finding new ways to sell drugs.

The UAE police are making sure they stay two steps ahead of drug traffickers and synthetic drugs are currently on the police’s radar.

Sharjah Police has recently discovered a new type of drug that is cheap and easily accessible to citizens and can be deadly.

Colonel Adel Ahmad Al-Muzimi, acting head of the Criminal Laboratory Department of Sharjah Police, told Khaleej Times that the two new varieties of synthetic cannabis were found hidden inside cosmetics packaging.

Officials say that 103 e-cigarettes seized in the country have also been tested and found that 17 of them were used for drugs.

Authorities added that youths were using drugs, including artificial cannabis ‘spice’ that comes in liquid form, in e-cigarettes.

Authorities have started efforts to stop such types of e-cigarettes.
