We have to focus on the export sector to solve the country's problems: Ahsan Iqbal

Mansehra: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that despite being an agricultural country, Pakistan is importing wheat and sugar. In 2018, wheat, sugar and cotton were exported.

Talking to media in Shankiari, Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan imports 500 500 million worth of tea annually and also exports 500 500 million worth of edible oil.

He said that due to rising prices in the global market, valuable foreign exchange has to be spent, in order to solve the country's problems, attention has to be paid to the export sector. We have to pay attention to value addition, we are taking all possible steps to become self-sufficient in the agricultural sector, the tea produced in Pakistan is of world class.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistani people are not proper marketing of tea. While tea can be grown on 1.5 million acres in the country.
