Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says that the Supreme Court has no authority to interfere in the affairs of the Parliament.
In an interview given to private TV, Rana Sanaullah said that the President cannot send the Judicial Reform Bill to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has no authority to strike down the Judicial Reform Bill.
If the President does not sign the bill within 10 days, it will become a law on the 11th day itself
On the bill related to the Supreme Court, the interior minister said that it is written in the constitution that the constitution and laws have to be made by the parliament, the bill will be passed by the joint session of the parliament and will go to the president again. The law will be made, it is not written in the constitution that the law has to be made by the Supreme Court instead of the Parliament.
Rana Sanaullah said that if we had written in the bill that the power to form a bench would lie with the Chief Justice, the Minister of Interior or the Minister of Law and the Attorney General, then you could have said wrong. The note argued that the one-man show has sunk the institution, but we have not reduced the powers of the Supreme Court.
He said that if a matter is suo motu, there is no right to appeal it. In the Judicial Reforms Bill, we have included only the appeal, these appeals also have to be filed in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court was split due to su motu and the Chief Justice’s powers
On the bifurcation of the Supreme Court, the Home Minister said that the bifurcation of the Supreme Judiciary was due to the powers of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice, the dissenting note of the judges made the Parliament think that we should regulate it.
Rana Sanaullah said that it was a good and democratic decision for Justice Qazi Faizaisa to come to the Parliament. All the judges should have been in the Parliament today. The Chief Justice should also have come to the meeting today. We invited the Chief Justice. There was a lot of support to participate and if they refused, we would go to them.
Rana Sanaullah said that Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf should talk to Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial about not attending the Parliament session, we want Chief Justice stubbornness and ego cannot be imagined. Requested Atta Bandial to make a full court.
He said that everyone asked the Chief Justice to call a full court session. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif told the Attorney General of Pakistan that we have no objection to the issue of the full court. The Attorney General must have conveyed the Prime Minister’s message to the Chief Justice.
If Faiz Isa forms a separate bench, the Chief Justice will be responsible for it
The Interior Minister further said that if Justice Faiz Isa forms a separate bench in the next week, it will be a misfortune for the country and the Chief Justice of Pakistan will be responsible for it. What is the problem in making a full court, one man national politics I am sitting obstinately and on the other hand, if the Chief Justice persists in the same stubbornness, then it will not be a big disaster.
More than 70% of our army is engaged in operations
Regarding security in the election, Rana Sanaullah said that the Pakistan Army did not refuse to provide security, but they have definitely said that more than 70 percent of our army is engaged in operations.
Regarding the provision of funds for the election, the interior minister said that we say that the Supreme Court should call the entire Parliament and disqualify it and send it home. However, we want to hold elections for all assemblies of the country simultaneously.
